Become a Volunteer with the City of Antioch Youth Services Network

Volunteering with the City of Antioch is more than just donating your time—it’s about helping shape a stronger, more connected community. Whether you’re a young person looking to give back or an adult eager to support local youth, your service makes a real difference.

Why Volunteer?

Our Youth Services Network is built on collaboration, compassion, and a shared commitment to uplifting Antioch’s next generation. Volunteers play a vital role in:

  • Supporting youth programming and special events
  • Mentoring, guiding, and inspiring young people
  • Creating safe, welcoming spaces for learning, creativity, and community
  • Contributing to solutions that help reduce violence and build opportunity

Whether you have a few hours a month or want to be more hands-on in youth development, there’s a place for you here.

Your Journey Starts Here

To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, all volunteers over the age of 25, with the City of Antioch, must complete a background clearance process. Once cleared, you’ll be ready to join a network of change-makers who are building a brighter future for Antioch—one act of service at a time.

Thank You for Your Interest in Volunteering with City of Antioch Youth Services!

We’re excited that you’re interested in making a difference by volunteering with the City of Antioch Youth Services Network. To ensure the safety of our youth, all volunteers must complete a background clearance through the FBI and DOJ.

Here’s How to Get Started:

1.) Create Your Account

    • Click the “APPLY” button at the bottom of the page.
    • Enter your email address and complete the short registration form.
    • Submit the form and check your email for login credentials.

2.) Log In & Complete Clearance Steps

    • Use the email and password you created to log into your account.
    • Download the Live Scan form from your dashboard.
    • Follow all instructions to complete the fingerprinting process.
Note: When I did the practice run, once I created a log in, it directed me to fill out the application, but I had to sign in once more. After the application was completed, it told me that an email will be sent to me with more information about next steps. You do have to log back on to get your fingerprint info.

3.) Visit a Live Scan Site

    • Bring your completed Live Scan form and a valid photo ID (driver’s license or equivalent) to a Live Scan location.
    • We recommend using Certifix, which you can access from your dashboard.
Please note: There is a fee for fingerprinting services.

4.) Wait for Clearance Confirmation

    • Once we receive results from the California DOJ and FBI confirming no criminal history, you’ll be emailed an official Clearance Letter.
    • Clearance typically takes 2–3 weeks.

After you’re cleared, a team member will reach out with your next steps. We appreciate your commitment to supporting our youth and building a better community!

For any questions you can email Youth@antiochca.gov.
Note: The City of Antioch uses Be A Mentor for our clearance processing. Emails regarding your clearance account will come from this organization.
