Springboard Internship Program

Launch Your Future with the City of Antioch

Are you a high school junior or senior interested in public service, earning a paycheck, and making a real impact in your community? The Springboard Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to do just that.

Applications open in November 2025 and close on February 1, 2026.
Note: This is a competitive program. Not all applicants will be selected, so apply early and be prepared—interviews and evaluations are thorough and selective.

Program Dates: June 15 – July 24, 2026

This paid summer internship places selected Antioch youth (ages 16–18) directly in City of Antioch departments, where they’ll gain hands-on experience and professional development. Internship placements may include:

  • Parks & Recreation
  • Public Safety & Community Resources
  • Information Services
  • Animal Services
  • Community & Economic Development
  • City Attorney’s Office
  • Finance
  • …and other key City divisions

Interns participate in weekly check-ins, skill-building workshops, and mentorship opportunities—building real-world experience while contributing to the community. Many Springboard alumni go on to become youth leaders and mentors themselves.

If you’re motivated, community-minded, and ready to explore your future, Springboard is your next step.

Be part of something meaningful—apply this fall and help shape the future of Antioch.

The application deadline for the 2025 Springboard Internship Cohort has passed.

Please check back in November for information on the 2026 application cycle.
