City of Antioch Elections

The City of Antioch consolidates all elections with the Contra Costa County Elections Division.

The next General Municipal Election will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, for the following seats (4-year terms):

Mayor
City Council – District 2
City Council – District 3
City Clerk
City Treasurer

To be eligible to run for the City Council, a candidate must be a resident of Antioch, registered to vote, and must live within the District of the office sought. The Mayor, City Clerk and City Treasurer seats are at-large positions.

November 5, 2024 Nomination Period
Mid-July, 2024

Candidates must wait until the nomination period begins to obtain a nomination packet from the City Clerk. To best serve you, individuals interested in running for office are encouraged to contact the City Clerk to ask questions. Its highly recommended that candidates schedule an appointment with the City Clerk/Elections Official Ellie Householder at cityclerk@antiochca.gov to obtain a nomination packet.
