Lori Ogorchock was born in Weisbaden, Germany, where her father served in the Army. She spent her early years in various cities before settling in this area. Starting in the 3rd grade, she attended Port Chicago Elementary School, later moving to Shore Acres until her family relocated to Antioch. Her connection to this community spans over 60 years. Graduating from Antioch High School in 1975, she pursued business studies at Los Medanos College and later became a liability adjuster for CSAA, retiring after 21 years. Transitioning to real estate, Lori has been a dedicated realtor for the past 15 years.
Lori’s commitment to community involvement began with coaching her children in various sports, starting with the Peanut League. She continued to contribute to Little League, coached her daughter’s softball team, and eventually served on the Babe Ruth board while coaching her son. In 2014, Lori was elected as an Antioch Council Member, serving consecutive terms and becoming the Council Member for District Three in 2020. During this time, she actively participated in the League of California Cities committees, including Governance, Transparency, and Labor Relations for eight years, Public Safety for two years, and the current term on the Community Services Committee.
As the President of the Mayors & Council Members Dept. for the League of California Cities, Lori is the first Antioch City Council Member to hold this position. She has been on the board for four years and was appointed to the CBRT working group by the Cal Cities President in 2023, focusing on a pivotal bill for the November 2024 ballot. Lori initiated the Veteran’s Banner Program and the 8 to 80 program, envisioning Antioch as a designated Senior Friendly City. Demonstrating her commitment, Lori aspires to work closely with congressmen to establish local medical offices for veterans, showcasing her determination to spare them from long and challenging trips out of town. Married for 41 years to Richard Ogorchock, Lori is a proud parent of three children and adores her grandsons, Keaton (17) and Jackson (JAM 2), whom she has the pleasure of watching every day.
