Business License

Before submitting a Business License application, it is highly recommended that applicants contact the Planning Division to verify that the proposed business activity is permissible at the intended location and to determine if any additional permits are required. It is also advisable not to sign any agreements or leases with the property owner until confirmation is received from the Planning Division, ensuring that the use is allowed, and no permits are necessary.

All Business License Applications must be submitted to the Finance Department. Upon receipt, the Finance Department will route the applications to the Planning Division of the Community Development Department for review and approval. The Planning Division will assess the zoning compliance of the business location for both commercial and home occupation uses. Please note that the review process may take up to 2 to 4 weeks.

Massage therapists and/or establishments are required to complete a City of Antioch Registration of Massage Therapist form and provide copies of state certifications with the business license application. Applications will not be processed without these documents.
