Request a record through the Public Records Act

NextRequest is a portal used to request a record through the Public Records Act (as defined in GC 6252(e) )

What is a Public Records Act?
A public record is “any writing containing information relating to the conduct of the public’s business prepared, owned, used, or retained by any state or local agency regardless of physical form or characteristics”.

NextRequest is not for case specific requests you may be involved in.  Those must be completed by visiting the “APD Records Unit” page on the website and follow the instructions under “Request a copy of a police report, event or traffic accident” .  They will not be processed through NextRequest and it will delay the time it takes to receive a response to your report request.
